MATERIALS - IN DETAIL
Full Grain Australian Cow Leather —
A smooth and supple Full Grain Aniline Leather hand selected from our tannery. Put simply, Full Grain Leather leaves the outer surface of an animal's skin untouched, revealing its natural grain to be seen. This is unlike most commercial leathers, which are sanded and painted to cover blemishes. Full Grain is also the highest (and most expensive) grade of leather available, which results in a more natural product in both aesthetic and feel, and wears beautifully over time.
Internal Pocket —
Fits all phones, bits/bobs, invisibly attached via the strap's rivets.
Brass Button Closure —
Heavy duty brass-button snap to keep the bag pinched shut and secure, for peace of mind.
Edges —
We take great care to bevel, dye, heat, seal, and burnish our edges offering beautiful wear properties. When compared to other bags available, this level of finishing is unrivaled and consistent with luxury makers such as Hermès.
Solid Copper Rivets —
We have our rivets custom-designed and forged. We machine them for visual perfection and finally hand set them for a permanent bond, which is far stronger than tubular rivets (non-solid) and stitching alone.
Cotton Twill Piped Straps —
Our straps are piped for comfort and shape for your shoulder and hand, with the ends trimmed, dyed and hidden to be inconspicuous.
Nylon Bonded Thread —
We construct the bag with a combination of hand stitched saddle stitching for aesthetic perfection and machine stitching for construction and strength. All stitches are hand locked, not back-stitched, so thread-ends never unravel.
Dressing and Care —
We dress each bag with a natural homemade mixture of beeswax and select essential oils to be water resistant and anti-bacterial. Care is simple, and printed instructions are provided.
